It’s been 10 plus hour, users are facing a weird issue, when a user runs or press Win+G, an error code pops up saying “Xbox Game Bar is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001” Firstly let us take look at what it is.
Earlier today, a redditor posted about error 0x803F8001, another redditor confirmed it and further it went on microsoft community.
Now let us see if there is any fix for this problem:
To be honest, this issue has no fix as it is a bug.
But you can give a shot by reinstallation method. That is uninstall the pre-loaded version and fresh installation from Store.
One can uninstall the Game Bar and install it afterwards from the Microsoft Store. Open PowerShell with administrator and run the following command
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage
This command will uninstall the Xbox Game Bar and might solve error code 0x803F8001.
Now you have Xbox Game Bar uninstalled, restart your machine to update the settings. Once it restarts go to Microsoft Store.
Further, in Microsoft Store search for Xbox Game Bar and hit the install button. It will be installed on your machine now.
As I said already, this might not work, as it is a bug and only Microsoft and fix this. I hope they push an update real quick to fix this issue.
